Free Drop In Tutoring for K-8th graders by High School Honors Students

We have provided over 4000 hours of free tutoring and

332 teens have volunteered

their time as tutors since June 2017 (updated August 2025).

We meet during the school year on SUNDAYS, 3-4:30pm in the Children’s section of the 95th Street branch of the Naperville library. (Summers we meet on MONDAYS, 12-1:30pm)

AFTER FILLING OUT THE ONLINE STUDENT WAIVER AND THE PHOTOGRAPHY WAIVER, YOU CAN DROP IN ON ANY SUNDAY–NO OTHER REGISTRATION IS NEEDED.

IT IS HIGHLY ADVISED TO ARRIVE AT 3:30PM (12:30pm in the summer) TO GUARANTEE YOURSELF A TUTOR AT 3:45 (12:45 in the summer) AS THERE ARE OFTEN LINES AT 3PM (12noon in the summer). TYPICAL SESSIONS ARE 45 MINUTES LONG, FROM 3-3:45 AND 3:45-4:30PM (12-12:45pm and 12:45-1:30pm in the summer), but tutoring sessions can be extended if we have enough tutors.

About Us

Team Tutors 204 (a 501c3 non-profit organization) is a free drop-in tutoring program held at the 95th Street branch of the Naperville Public Library. Honors students at the three District 204 high schools (Waubonsie, Neuqua, and Metea), IMSA, and Benet Academy volunteer to tutor children grades K-8 in all school subjects. Since 2017, we have provided over 3500 hours (and counting) of service to our community through in-person tutoring (and zoom tutoring during the pandemic).

Students bring their own materials to work on after registering online or in-person. Walk-ins are always welcome!

During the school year we meet on Sunday afternoons (we are off on school holiday weekends), and in the summer we meet on Monday afternoons. We are currently meeting on the first floor in the Children’s section. We follow the library’s policies on conduct and masking.

BE SURE TO BRING YOUR OWN MATERIALS TO WORK ON. FOR EXAMPLE, MANY STUDENTS BRING WORKBOOKS YOU CAN BUY ONLINE or borrow from the library. Also you can print out online worksheets.

During the school year, we meet on SUNDAYS from 3:00-4:30pm.

We meet from 12pm-1:30pm in the summer.
